Bambooshoot Stew

This Indonesian recipe is called "Lodeh Rebung". Lodeh means a soupy dish that contain coconut milk and usually with vegetables. Today the vegetables would be bambooshoot and long beans.

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Rinse the bambooshoot, boil, and drain until the its odourless. While, make the coconut milk.

* Step 2

Prepare all the ingredients.

Boil a cook pot of water, put the coconut milk in. While, grind all the ingredients except bambooshoot, green chili and the long beans.

* Step 4

Heat a pan, fry the ingredient paste until it's fragrant. While, put the green chili, sliced bambooshot, and cut long beans into the coconut based soup.

* Step 5

When the ingredient paste cooked, bring into the soup, stir well, and bring it to boil in a low heat. Let it cool, wait for about minimum 2 hours to make it taste wonderful.

* Step 6

PS: It will taste better when it stays overnight on the pot. The resting process will bring up the flavor.
