Cinnamon Rolls with Lemon Custard and Cream Cheese

#goldenapron23 #week3 #innovative #cheese An amazing twist to the ever famous Cinnamon Rolls by me with the addition of Lemon Custard. Isn't that a marvellous idea? My children loves Lemon and anything that's made with them. So I chose to use them generously in the popular Cinnamon Rolls instead. It's absolutely easy and delicious. Not to forget healthy too. I had baked these gooey Rolls to perfection the other day for a lovely aftermeal Dessert. Not only did these turn out perfectly well, they were actually much more delicious too. We had a great time and so will you when you make these for your loved ones.

Ingredient

Food ration :

7-8 servings

Cooking time :

35 minutes
2 tbsp

Milk powder

2 tsp

Sugar

1 1/2 cups

lukewarm Milk

2 tsp

Oil

3 tbsp

Cornflour

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

In a large bowl mix together all the dry ingredients and set aside. Warm up the milk and dissolve sugar. Add in the yeast and let it sit in a warm place for about a minute or so or until it starts frothing.

Once your yeast has been done, start kneading your dough. Use your hands for better results. After the dough is ready cover the entire dough with oil and let it rest in a warm place for about an hour and a half or until your dough has risen to double it's size.

Line a baking tray with foil or a butter paper and grease it with a little oil. Take your dough and punch it to release the air. On a floured surface, take the dough and start rolling it out, roughly in a rectangular shape.

Next, take the lemon custard and start spreading it onto the entire dough as seen leaving a little space towards the sides so that it doesn't leak out.

Carefully start folding the dough from one side. Roll it till the end and pinch the sides to ensure that everything is secure.

Start cutting the rolled out dough. They should be, preferably, about an inch thick. This step is very crucial if you desire fluffy and soft bread. Never forget to let your dough rest for about another 20 minutes or so before baking it.

* Step 7

While the dough is resting preheat your oven at 180 degrees Celsius. Bake them for about 25-30 minutes. Spread your favourite glaze on top or Cream Cheese one like me. Just whisk all the ingredients under cream cheese glaze. That's it. Enjoy!
