Matar or Green Pea Parathas

Not only does Winters get us these lovely looking nutritious Vegetables, the Season also brings plenty of reasons to relish them as well. Weddings and Festivals are enjoyed with much love and special dishes. Matar or Green Pea Parathas are also one such yummy preparations that are done with freshly available Green Peas.

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Prepare the dough with the ingredients listed under it. Leave it aside for 20 minutes at least.

* Step 2

Add crushed Cumin Seeds, Asafoetida and the shredded Ginger to a bowl with boiled and coarsely mashed Green Peas. Also add the chopped Green Chillies, Red Chilli powder, Salt, Coriander Leaves and the dry Mango powder along with the rest of the ingredients mentioned. Mix well and it's all ready to use.

* Step 3

Divide the dough into equal sized balls. Roll into small discs at first. Place 2-3 tablespoon of the filling on each and seal the edges carefully. Now roll into Parathas and cook on both the sides smearing with Ghee or Oil. Lip-smacking Parathas are ready to be enjoyed with White Butter and Raita of your choice.
