Charcoal Grilled Lamb Leg or Raan

#toc4 #cookpadindia A lovely dish for any party especially a Barbecue party on the terrace. This has actually became like a trend of a sort after the Pandemic hit the World. We too had organized it for our immediate family and a few closeknit friends on a weekend. Not only the familial bonds are strengthened but also that our children learn a lot about caring and sharing. And if someone shares your food, I don't think there's a better feeling than this for anyone. You feel so good from within that you have shared your food with your relatives, friends, neighbors and the needy. It's a feeling of satisfaction that one can only understand it if experienced. It cannot be put into words. Iam too at loss of words now and I can't say more on this. You can use Ghee or Butter also in the marination as per your choice. And use colour also if desired. And Papaya paste also is optional. You can use it only if needed. Otherwise an overnight marination is enough for a perfect Barbecue.

* Step 1

The first thing to be done is clean the Lamb Leg or Raan and make slits all along. Mix all the spices and marinate both the Legs accordingly.

* Step 2

It is advisable to do it as it will help in getting a juicy and a succulent raan after grilling. Papaya paste helps in cooking it perfectly. Marinate it for one whole day. It's an important part of this amazing dish.

* Step 3

Baste it with Oil throughout grilling as and when required. It will be done in almost an hour or a little more. You can roast a whole lot of Vegetables too. The best part is the smoky effect. Not only Onions and Capsicums, I have grilled even thinly sliced Cucumbers.

Your guests will be treated to a lovely meal for sure. Serve it alongside Naan or Rumali Rotis. And a yummy Gravy or a Curry as well. Enjoy! Yum!
