Shahi Suji Halwa

#kids Semolina or Suji Halwa or Sheera is one of the most favourites of my kids. As an innovative and an interesting twist, What I did is that I have added only Charoli Seeds to this Halwa. I did not add any other Dry Fruits or Nuts. The result was such an excellent Dessert that was so yummy with a delicious crunch of Charoli Seeds in every bite. The taste was amazingly delish. Made with just a few pantry staples, this is one of the most simplest of all.

Ingredient

Food ration :

10-12 servings

Cooking time :

25-30 minutes
1 1/2 cups

Sugar

3/4 cup

Ghee

2-3 cups

water

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Heat Ghee and roast Charoli Seeds at first. Remove after crisp and done. In the same Kadai, roast Semolina or Suji on a low heat until light brown in colour and smells heavenly.

Add Cardamom powder now along with Sugar and mix well. Keep the heat on a low only. After about 5 minutes, add water as required. Finally add the Charoli Seeds and the Saffron strands too soaked in little Milk. Mix well and cook on a low heat until everything comes together as a mass.

Serve hot immediately. Enjoy!
