Pepe Potol Bahaar

Potol (Pointed gourd) is a veggie which is hated by many, among them being my son and hubby!! But this doesn”t stop me from trying out making yummy recipes using potol . Now in summer raw papaya or kacha pepe is a saviour during lunch. Here is my kitchen experiment with raw papaya and pointed gourd in this summer season & made this awesome curry which is tasty and perfect for a summer lunch.

Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Dry roast the moong dal and cool and grind to powder
* Step 2
Add mustard oil and fry bori, potol and pepe with salt and turmeric and keep aside
* Step 3
To same oil add shah jeera and then the roasted dal powder and fry till brown
* Step 4
Then add the fried bori and veggies and mix very well. Adjust salt and sugar to taste.
* Step 5
Add a cup of water, posto Bata and cook till the vegetables become soft. Keep stirring so that the dal doesn’t stick at the bottom of pan
* Step 6
Once the vegetable gets cooked add the milk, ghee and simmer. Add the slit green chillies
* Step 7
Add garam masala powder and enjoy with rice.
