#rakhi #boxweek20 #mithai This is a very popular Bengali sweet dish prepared on the auspicious day of Makar Sankranti or Poush Parbon.It is a light pancake filled with either kheer or a coconut-and-gur mixture. This Rakhi festival season, make sure you enjoy the fresh and moist bites of this Bengali sweet dish

Ingredient

1 cup

maida

1/2 cup

rice flour

1/4 cup

suji

1/4 cup

sugar

1/4 cup

milk

2-3 tbsp

vegetable oil

2 tbsp

ghee

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Take a large bowl and sift rice flour, maida, semolina and mix the flours. Gradually, add milk and powder sugar 1 tbsp to make a smooth batter. Make sure that the batter is not too flowy not to thick. Keep the batter aside

* Step 2

In a pan and add the dessicated coconut, roast the coconut till it turns golden in colour. Then add in nolen gur along with some milk and khoya kheer. Cook the stuffing and add milk to bind the stuffing

* Step 3

Heat some oil in a non-stick pan. Pour a ladle full of batter in it and spread into a medium sized pancake and let the underside cook.

* Step 4

Put a spoonful of mixture length wise, roll and cook, flip the side turn golden brown. Serve with nolen gur aside or sprinkle on top of your patishapta.
