Lauki Ka Halwa

#FM #W1 Easy and yummy Bottle Gourd or lauki halwa is an instant sweet prepared for Navratri fasting days.

Ingredient

Lauki

1 cups

Milk

1/3 cups

Sugar

1/3 cups

milk powder

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Peel, Wash and grate bottlegourd. Squeeze its water thoroughly.

Heat 1 tb spoon pure ghee in a wok. Add squeezed grated bottlegourd and saute for 2 minutes on low flame. Then add milk and simmer on low flame till milk is absorbed and bottlegourd is cooked.

* Step 3

Add sugar and stir well and cook till sugar dissolves completely and bubbles comes.

* Step 4

Add dessicated coconut powder and mix well. Now Add milk powder in batches to avoid formation of lumps and mix well. Mix cardamom powder. At this stage, add remaining ghee.

* Step 5

Saute for 4-5 minutes till mixture becomes shiny and lumpy. Mix chopped dry fruits. Save some for garnishing.

Serve hot garnished with chopped dry fruits.
