#vegan #cookpad #cookpadindia #Peas pulav or matar pulao is a popular dish which is made especially during winter months in northern parts of India. It is a quick and one pot meal during lazy Sundays or holidays.

Ingredient

11/2 bowl

2 tbsp

cooking oil

1/2 tsp

cumin seeds

1 stick

cinnamom

1 bowl

fresh peas

To taste

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Wash rice 2-3 times in running water. Soak in water for 10 minutes.

Collect all whole spices.

Heat oil in a pressure cooker. Add cumin seeds and when cumin seeds splutter put finely chopped onions and saute till onion gets golden.

Add grated tomatoes and cook till oil leaves the sides. Add peas and saute for 1 minute.

* Step 5

Add rice. Add salt, red chilli powder and pulav masala and saute for 1 minute.

* Step 6

Add water. Close the lid and pressure cook till 2 whistles. Switch off the flame. Let pressure releases automatically. Open the lid.

Serve hot with salad and pickle.
