#Peas pulav or matar pulao is a popular dish which is made especially during winter months in northern parts of India. It is a quick and one pot meal during lazy Sundays or holidays.

Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Wash rice 2-3 times in running water. Soak in water for 10 minutes.
* Step 2
Collect all whole spices.
* Step 3
Heat oil in a pressure cooker. Add cumin seeds and when cumin seeds splutter put finely chopped onions and saute till onion gets golden.
* Step 4
Add grated tomatoes and cook till oil leaves the sides. Add peas and saute for 1 minute.
* Step 5
Add rice. Add salt, red chilli powder and pulav masala and saute for 1 minute.
* Step 6
Add water. Close the lid and pressure cook till 2 whistles. Switch off the flame. Let pressure releases automatically. Open the lid.
* Step 7
Serve hot with salad and pickle.
