Ingredient

1 bowl

Arhar Daal

1/2 tsp

Cumin seeds

To taste

Salt

leaves

Coriander

1/2 tsp

Garam masala

1 bowl

Rice

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Wash Dal and put it in pressure cooker. Mix salt and turmeric powder in it. Cook it for four minutes after first whistle.

* Step 2

Now in a separate karahi put cooking oil and heat it. Now put cumin seeds and when cumin seeds splutter put finely chopped onions and fry till golden brown. Now add finely chopped tomato in it and red chilli powder and fry till oil leaves the karahi. Now add garam masala and pour Dal in this taraka. Stir for two minutes. Daal is ready. Decorate it with coriander leaves.

* Step 3

Wash rice and put it in pressure cooker. Add water in it and pressure cook till first whistle. Rice is ready. Open the lid after 5 minutes.

Serve hot with green salad and sweet motichoor ladoo.
