Maple Sugar
Sugar made from maple syrup, a result of failed Maple Butter.
Can be used in Crumble Topping and other recipes where maple syrup is too runny.
Contains butter but may be made without!
Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Melt butter into maple syrup and bring to boil on medium heat in a non-stick pan.
* Step 2
Heat to a temperature of 135 degrees Centigrade.
* Step 3
Remove from heat and pour into a bowl.
* Step 4
Whisk with an electric whisk until it turns stiff and gritty.
* Step 5
Allow to cool for 15-20 mins
* Step 6
Put into a food processor and pulse until fine 'sugar like' grains are formed.
* Step 7
When completely cool, put in a Kilner Jar and use as required.
Coffee? Crumble Topping? Cake?
