Kala Chana Ghugni

#BCC Bihari style of preparing Kala Chana Ghugni as a snack is very famous. It’s my favourite snack too. Let’s dig!

Ingredient

1/2 cup

Kala Chana

1 medium size

tomato chopped fine

1/2 tsp

Panch Phoron

As Required

Mustard oil

As per taste

Salt

As Per Required

Water

As Required

Serve with Muri

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Soak Kala Chana overnight. Drain and set aside. Cube the potatoes, chop the tomatoes and onions.

* Step 2

In a wok heat mustard oil and add Panch Phoron, stir and add chopped onions, and stir to soften on medium flame.

* Step 3

Add cubed potatoes and cook together for 2-3 mins. Add Kala Chana. Stir to cook the potatoes and the Kala Chana

* Step 4

Add green chilies, and ginger-garlic paste, add tomatoes and stir well. Cover to cook for 3-4 mins. Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, salt

* Step 5

Mix well and add water to cook. Cover, once done, set aside

Serve with Muri.
