toor dal

1/4 cup

masoor dal

2 tablespoon

oil

1/4 teaspoon

mustard seeds

1/4 teaspoon

Cumin seeds

Pinch

hing

1/4 teaspoon

turmeric powder

as needed

Water

as per taste

Salt

Palak

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Wash and cook dals in pressure cooker. Add pinch of salt and pinch of turmeric powder while cooking

* Step 2

For the tadka, heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, Curry leaves, hing,garlic. Add tomatoes,green chillies and then palak. Add dal to the tadka and water if required.

* Step 3

Serve hot with steamed rice or parathas.
