White forest cake

#bakeacake #fruits #chocolate #cake #cupcake #miffins #vanilla #vanillacake A special white forest cake made with the goodness of Nutella in the centre and white chocolate and mascarpone cheese frosting. Very yummy and super soft.

Ingredient

1.5 cups

maida

1/4 teaspoon

salt

1 cup

sugar

1 teaspoon

lemon zest

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Grease a tray with oil and line with parchment paper. I have used 1X10" cake pan. Preheat the oven at 180degreesC

Whisk together eggs and sugar till creamy. Add vanilla essence.

* Step 3

Sieve maida,salt and baking powder in a separate bowl.

* Step 4

Add milk, oil,and dry ingredients in 2 batches.

* Step 5

Pour the batter in to the greased tray and bake @160 degrees C for 15 minutes.

Check with a toothpick in the centre of the cake,if it comes out clean, means cake is well baked. Take it out of the pan and let it cool down completely. When cut this cake has this beautiful texture.

Now take the whipping cream in a bowl and whisk till soft peaks with an electric beater. Add mascarpone cheese and mix with a spatula. Now add melted white chocolate and mix lightly. Donot over mix.

Cut the cake into 2 parts using a serrated knife. apply a layer of the white frosting on the cake

* Step 9

Note: This cake sponge is very soft, so there is no need of applying sugar syrup. But it's optional. Lemon zest is very important,please Donot skip as it helps to eliminate the eggy smell after the cake is baked. Cake tin size can be changed as per choice. Just remember that the temperature and baking time will change accordingly.
