Homemade Pesto Pasta

Homemade Pesto Pasta

This recipe has been a feel-good staple from my Covid-era cooking experience

Ingredient

Food ration :

4 servings

2 cups

basil

1/3 cup

walnuts

4 cloves

garlic

3 tbs

olive oil

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

De-stem basil leaves, grade fresh parmesan, finely chop garlic cloves and walnuts

* Step 2

Pour ingredients into a blender with olive oil and blend until desired consistency. Add water when necessary to smooth pesto for easier blending.

* Step 3

Boil water and cook pasta to taste

* Step 4

Steam peas

* Step 5

Mix pasta, peas, and pesto in large bowl. Add shaved parmesan and red pepper flakes to taste

* Step 6

Optional: Use sourdough or french bread to remove excess pesto from blender.
