Cheese Crispies

A lovely crunchy cheesy snack - I made these for the first time today. Simple, easy and very more-ish! And although they are delicious on their own, there are endless options of what you could serve them with! #nikicuisine #12plates

Ingredient

Food ration :

makes 30 servin

Cooking time :

15 mins
1 cup

flour

3/8 teaspoon

salt

1/4 teaspoon

cayenne pepper

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Mix the butter and cheese together with a hand mixer until blended.

In another bowl, combine the flour, salt and cayenne pepper.

Gradually add the flour mixture to the cheese mixture until combined. Then stir in the rice crispies and mix well.

Turn onto a lightly floured surface and knead 4-6 times, forming a stiff dough.

* Step 5

Shape the dough into a 7" long roll. Wrap in cling film and refrigerate for at least one hour or (preferably) overnight.

Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper (or coat with non-stick cooking spray).

* Step 7

Unwrap the dough and cut into 1/4" slices. Place on baking sheet (making sure they are not touching one another) and bake for 14-16 minutes until edges are golden brown.

Place on wire racks to cool.
