Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Melt the butter in a medium to large saucepan with the golden syrup and sugar.
* Step 2
Once everything is melted and combined, like a caramel, take off the heat.
* Step 3
Stir in the oats, with the walnuts and ginger and give it a good mix together.
* Step 4
Lay the mixture out on a 6 inch by 8 inch baking sheet lined with greaseproof paper.
* Step 5
Flatten down with a spatula (if you rub it with oil first it will prevent stickiness).
* Step 6
Bake in an oven preheated to 170C for 20-25 minutes, or until it is golden around the edges.
* Step 7
Remove from the oven and immediately score out the portions with a knife.
* Step 8
Leave to cool completely before cutting through scored lines and dividing into servings.
* Step 9
Store in an air tight tin, box or biscuit tin.
