Philippine Purple Sweet Potato 🍠 Ube Halaya
My Philippine friend taught me this amazing purple potato sweet. This sweet is best with cheese. I arranged flower shaped Ube Halaya like Japanese traditional sweets.
Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Steam purple potato softly.
* Step 2
Remove the skin of potato and blend steamed potato and evaporated milk.
* Step 3
Mix ingredients well in big pan and start to heat stirring with low flame. When the potato mixture is thickened add butter.
* Step 4
Boil over with low heat for 30 to 40 minutes while stirring. Put in trays and cool.
* Step 5
Putting shredded cheese on Ube Halaya and enjoy ‼️
* Step 6
From here I’m going to make flower ube halaya like Japanese traditional sweets. Make small ball with cut cheese and wrap it with ube halaya.
* Step 7
Using spatula, spoon, chopsticks or folks, make flower shape like these photos.
* Step 8
Press the cheese into a colander to make it finer.
* Step 9
Enjoy❣️Ube Halaya and cheese 👏So yummy 💕
