Stovetop French Toast

Stovetop French Toast

I’ve never understood why people would order French toast from a restaurant. Every time I have had French toast from a restaurant, it’s dry, chewy, and covered in powdered sugar. All things that this French toast isn't. This was the French toast I grew up with and I serve it to my family.

Ingredient

4-6

eggs

2 tablespoons

milk

1 teaspoon

vanilla

1/4 cup

brown sugar

1-2 teaspoons

cinnamon

1 loaf

bread

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Combine eggs, vanilla, milk, brown sugar, and cinnamon.

* Step 2

Whisk it till smooth. Then place a greased skillet or griddle on your stovetop. Set temperature to medium heat.

* Step 3

Dunk a slice of a bread in the egg wash. Lift out with a fork and place bread on the warmed pan. Cook for 2-3 minutes and flip to cook the other side.

* Step 4

Serve with butter and syrup.
