Sugar free Lentil porridge(for babies/toddlers)

Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Soak the lentils and dates for 30 minutes in warm water
* Step 2
Strain and keep the daal and reserve the date syrup
* Step 3
In a saucepan, add milk and daal and let it come to boil
* Step 4
Once done, add the jaggery, dates and mix well.
* Step 5
Let the mix simmer on Low heat for 5-10 minutes till the daal is slightly soft, stirring occasionally, not to burn the ingredients
* Step 6
Take of heat once done and let cool
* Step 7
Add the entire ingredients into a blender and blend smooth
* Step 8
Heat oil/Melt ghee in a saucepan and add the mix
* Step 9
Add the date syrup and cook until the halwa/porridge has reached a desired consistency or the syrup has completely been absorbed
* Step 10
Serve warm garnished with sliced almonds (optional)
* Step 11
Tips:You may choose to cook with any lentils of your choice or a mix of lentils too.
* Step 12
Tip:Add a tbn of powdered nuts before feeding babies instead of whole chopped nuts and check for allergic reactions to nuts before using powder them
* Step 13
Use breast/formula milk in case of babies under 1 year of age for this recipe
