Chicken Meatballs in Hot Garlic Sauce

#thc #thcweek15 #garlic #ws3 Chicken Meatballs is an Indo-Chinese dish dunked in a spicy Hot Garlic Sauce. They serve as a quick and tasty appetizer or make for a perfect weekend dinner. The meatballs are mixed with vinegar, soya sauce, ginger, garlic, chopped onion, mixed herbs, spring onions, breadcrumbs along with a few spices and grated cheese. They are then steamed, pan-fried, and later tossed in a spicy Hot Garlic Sauce which lends a Hot Garlic infused flavor and a mellow sweet and sour taste.

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Mince chicken in a blender along with vinegar, ginger garlic paste, and soya sauce. Add fresh breadcrumbs, whisked egg, cornflour, chopped onion, spring onion, black pepper powder, red chili flakes, chopped green chilies, spring onion,1 tsp refined oil, mixed herbs, and salt to taste. Also, add 1/4 th tsp Ajinomoto and mix everything till well combined.

* Step 2

Smear oil in your hands and make small balls out of the mixture. Steam them in a steamer for 7-8 minutes.

* Step 3

Heat some oil in a wok or pan and fry the meatballs for a few seconds till light golden brown. Set aside and make the sauce in which the meatballs will be cooked later.

* Step 4

In the remaining oil, sprinkle grated ginger and minced garlic. Fry few seconds and add onion and capsicum. Also, add slit green chillies and stir fry. Add soya sauce, chilli sauce, vinegar schezwan sauce and salt and sugar to taste. Add hot and sweet tomato chilli sauce. Drop the meatballs and simmer for 5 minutes. Toss all and let it cook few minutes.

Finally, mix cornflour with water and pour this slurry over the meatballs. Toss for 2 minutes and garnish with chopped spring onions. Serve hot with Chinese veg fried rice or noodles.
