No Onion Creamy Chicken or Murgh Malai

#2020fav Creamy chicken or Murgh Malai is an appetizing recipe which gets its name from the creamy texture.It is an unique recipe where chicken is marinated with thick yogurt and spices but without onion and garlic.It is then cooked in milk in low flame to yield tender succulent chicken pieces which melts in mouth.This recipe pairs very well with naan,tandoori roti or jeera rice.

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Make a paste of cashewnuts,sesame seeds,ginger,curd,green chillies and malai.Marinate chicken with it, mustard oil and salt and refrigerate overnight or at least 3 hours.

* Step 2

Heat oil and add ajwain,half crushed cinnamon,cardamom,cloves,few peppercorns.When they splutter,add 2 dry red chillies and fry.Shake off marinade and fry the chicken pieces.Add rest of marinade,kasoori methi,coriander powder,korma masala and salt to taste.Fry well and add 1 cup milk and cook covered on low flame till chicken is done.

* Step 3

Add ghee, chopped coriander leaves, few slit green chillies and garam masala.Toss and garnish with fried dry red chillies.Serve hot with naan,tandoori roti or jeera rice.
