* Step 1

Heat a potjie with oil. Fry the chopped onions and minced garlic. Once brown remove from pot.

* Step 2

Add oil and brown the chicken pieces. Once the chicken is brown add the fried onions and garlic back

* Step 3

Add and mix the brown onion soup, cream of chicken soups and 4 cups of water.

* Step 4

Add potatoes and carrots.

* Step 5

Cook for 3 hours.

* Step 6

Add baby marrows and patty pans.

* Step 7

Add mushrooms 30mins later and cook for a further 30mins.

* Step 8

Serve over rice or barley.

I love to try new food and this time I am broke so today I cooked with few ingredients that I had in my grocery cupboard and my refrigerator. All I can say the stew was delicious

Ingredient

4 cloves

garlic

to taste

Ginger paste

1 TSP

paprika

To taste

tomato sauce

1 cube

beef stock

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Boil the beef for an hour until the beef is tender

* Step 2

Chop the onion and crush the garlic

* Step 3

Once the meat is tender then pour in your onion, garlic, and ginger paste.

* Step 4

As the meat is tossing slowly it then add the beef stock and the spices.

* Step 5

Then add tomato sauce, into the stew let it cook

* Step 6

Prepare your soup in a small cup Pour in your brown onion soup and add water then pour into the stew

* Step 7

Let it simmer until it is thick and it can be served with rice and veggies.

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Rinse your meat and pour it to the pot and let it cook for an hour.

* Step 2

While the beef is cooking, your can chop your onion, your robot peppers and crush your garlic and ginger.

* Step 3

Grate your tomato and add just 1 teaspoon of sugar cause the tomato got that tendency of being sour.

* Step 4

Check your meat, by now it cooked and it's soft your can now add your onion and garlic and ginger.

* Step 5

As the meat is frying then start to season it with all the spices and let it fry.

* Step 6

Then check that all the spices, onion is cooked then stir and add tomatoes and drizzle the thick sauce and knorr steak marinade.

* Step 7

As it is cooking the on a small cup add water and pour, flour, and your soup thickness then pour on the meat and let it cook for just few minutes on a low heat.

* Step 8

My beef stew is served with Dombolo today.

This stew is my kids favourite cause there's lot of gravy and they love food with gravy

Ingredient

2/4 cup

tomato sauce

1 tbs

sugar

2 tbs

flour

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Cook your beef stew for 1 hour 30 minutes also add your beef stock.

* Step 2

Chop your onion and your garlic cloves

* Step 3

Once your meat is soft and tender now you can start to add your onion, garlic and your dry spices. As you busy stirring the meat and all the spices has mix well with the meat.

* Step 4

While the meat is simmering slow on your stove prepare your tomatoes by grating and once it is grated mix the tomatoes with tomato sauce also add that sugar to kill the sour taste from the tomatoes.

* Step 5

Then add tomatoes to the meat and stir and cover the pot to simmer for few minutes once it's all mixed well prepare your flour and Brown onion soup with water and pour over meat it will cook for 4 minutes and thicken. Then your tomatoes gravy stew is ready to be served.

* Step 6

It can be served with Rice, Dumpling (idombolo) and Pap. You will see some veggies on this stew, cause I have left-over veggies from yesterday I then decide to add then on my stew.

beef stock

1 teaspoon

Mild rahaj

1 teaspoon

barbeque spice

2 teaspoons

flour

3 cloves

garlic

2 tablespoons

cooking oil

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Boil your beef and the beef stock for 1 hour.

* Step 2

Boil the veggies for 10 minutes then drain them from water.

* Step 3

While the beef is boiling, fry your onion, garlic and ginger on a low heat until they are golden brown and pour over the meat and start to season your meat with all the spices.

* Step 4

Continue to stir until the meant is tender. After then add those veggies and prepare small cup of water mix your flour and Brown onion soup and pour over then decrease your heat let it simmer

* Step 5

The stew can be served with Rice, Pap and Dumbling (idombolo)
