500 grams

basmati rice

1/2 cup

curd

to taste

Salt

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Wash and soak rice for 30 minutes.Keep aside.

* Step 2

Heat 1/4 cup oil in a pressure cooker.Thinly slice the onions,and fry it till golden brown.Take out one third onion and keep aside.

* Step 3

Add mutton to the pressure cooker,cook till water dries.Add g-g paste.Cook for 2 minutes.

* Step 4

Add biryani masala powder,and salt.Stir and cook for 2 minutes.

* Step 5

Peel the potatoes(whole),add to mutton.Add 1/4cup water.Cover the lid of pressure cooker.Cook for 1 whistle on high heat,then 3-4minutes on medium heat.

* Step 6

Open the lid after pressure release.Add curd.Cook for 2-3minutes till water dries if any.

* Step 7

Heat a wok,add 1/4cup oil.Add whole spices and rice.Stir.Add 900 ml water.Cover and cook the rice 90%.

* Step 8

Now add mutton to the rice.Stir to mix the mutton with rice.

* Step 9

Dissolve orange food colour and kewra to the milk.Pour over rice.Garnish with mint-coriander leaves and brown onion.

* Step 10

Cover the lid,cook on lowest flame for 10 minutes.

* Step 11

Open after 10 minutes.Aloo mutton biryani is ready to be served.Serve with raita.

* Step 1

Wash and soak badmati rice for 30 minutes.

* Step 2

Boil in 5 cups water with coriander -mint leaves and 1 bay leaf.Boil 90%only.Drain and keep aside.

* Step 3

Hard boil eggs,peel.Sprinkle 1 punch each of red chilli piwder and salt,fry in 2 tbsp oil till golden.

* Step 1

Roughly slice onions.Heat oil in a pressure cooker.Fry onion till pink.

Add mutton,and all spices except garam masala powder. Stir.Add salt.

Mix well.Add 1/2cup water.Cover the lid of cooker and cook on medium flame for 5-6minutes.

Dry roast all whole spuces for 1 minute on low flame

Grind to a coarse powder.

There are so many methods of making pulav and biryanis.Here I'm sharing a very simple method to make mutton pulao.Have a look.

Ingredient

100 ml

oil

2 tbsp

curd

to taste

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Heat a pressure cooker.Put all the ingredients of mutton prepration.Add 1/2cup water.

* Step 2

Close the lid and cook on high pressure for 1 whistle.Simmer the flame to medium, and cook for 4-5 minutes.

* Step 3

Put off flame and let pressure release itself.

* Step 4

Meanwhile boil pre soaked(30 minutes)rice with salt and spices.

* Step 5

When rice is cooked fully,drain and keep aside.

* Step 6

Now mutton is also prepared and there is some gravy in the bottom of pressure cooker.

* Step 7

Add boiled rice to mutton, add peas also,cover the lid without vent weight,and further cook on low flame for 10 minutes.

* Step 8

Dissolve food colour in milk,add kewra water and pour over mutton pulao.Leave for 5 minutes.

* Step 9

Serve hot with raita.
