Methi chakri is a mildly spiced fenugreek flavored crispy fried snack,which is very tasty & a perfect deepawali snacks . This can be made easily at home by following this simple Recipe.

Cooking instructions
* Step 1
First mix the ghee or oil evenly with the flour,then add salt & carom seeds.After that add cold water little by little to form a tight dough.
* Step 2
Now keep that dough aside for 10-15 minutes.Now for the stuffing chop methi leaves very finely. Then mix red chilli powder,salt, Asafotida, coriander powder & whole cumin. Mix it well.
* Step 3
Now take a small portion of the prepared dough & roll it out. To make perfect round chakri try to roll the dough into rectangular shape.
* Step 4
Now take a spoonful of methi/fenugreek mixture & spread it evenly over the rolled dough. Then gently rub the fenugreek mixture on the dough, so that the dough get to absorb the flavor of the spices.
* Step 5
Now roll the dough from one edge to another crosswise. Roll it tightly so that once it goes into the oil doesn't come apart.
* Step 6
Now gently press & roll the dough on a plane surface to seal the edges. Now cut the roll into 1-inch coins.
* Step 7
Then roll & press the coins just once & fry those into medium hot oil on low heat preferably. Frying on a low flame turn those chakri super crispy.
* Step 8
Once those are golden brown,take those out from the heat & serve anytime you like. Store those in a air tight container & enjoy crispy chakri everytime.
