Manda pitha is famous sweet dish or dessert of the state Odisha, which they prepare during Durga puja or after monsoon seasons .It can be steamed or fried .I made the fried version of this dish .

Cooking instructions
* Step 1
First make the coconut stuffing, for that dry roast the grated coconut in a pan for few minutes.Then add the jaggery to it & stir continuously until the excess water dries off.
* Step 2
Now we are going to make a simple sugar syrup.For that boil water & add the sugar to it & wait until the sugar dissolves. Add cardamom pods to it & boil it for couple of minutes more. Then lower down the heat & add the semolina little by little & stir continuously.stir for 2-3 minutes.You can add warm water if the mixture turns too dry & hard to stir.
* Step 3
Now cool it down a bit.Then knead the semolina mixture with ur hand until the texture is soft. After that take small portion of the mixture & stuff it with prepared coconut mixture & cover it up.
* Step 4
Now deep fry all the Monda balls in hot oil. Drained out the excess oil & cool it down a bit. Then serve.
