Ambula is available in almost all Odia kitchen. This Ambula rai is so yummy in taste. This is a perfect side dish with your main course. Many people eat this without any curry with rice.

Ingredient

curd

to taste

1/2 inch

ginger

1/2 tsp

punch phoran

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Soak the ambula pieces in water for 30 minutes to 1 hour.

* Step 2

Grind mustard seeds, ginger and green chilli together to make a smooth paste.

* Step 3

Mix the mustard paste, curd, grated coconut and salt together.

* Step 4

Then add the soaked Ambula (dried mango pieces) in it.

* Step 5

Heat a small pan with oil and add punch phoran in it. When they crackle then add the red chilli and curry leaves in it and switch off the flame.

* Step 6

Then mix it with the curd and rai paste. Mix it well and your Ambula rai is ready to serve. Serve it as a side dish with any type of rice.
