The first thing that comes to mind, when you think of Diwali food is sweets,kheel and batasha. we do pooja with kheel and batasha.. This #diwali I tried upma from kheel ( puffed rice)Some thing new,sharing here
Ingredient

Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Soak kheel for 10 minutes and drain the water out of the kheel.
* Step 2
In a non-stick pan, heat the oil and add the mustard seeds, When mustard seeds splutter, add curry leaves. Roasted peanuts and 4 slices of coconut and cook for 1 minute.
* Step 3
Add vegetables of choice with salt and cook till they are soft.
* Step 4
Add kheel Cook stirring gently for about 2 minutes on medium heat.Switch off the flame once it is cooked.
* Step 5
Add lemon juice to taste and 1tsp powdered sugar.Mix well.
* Step 6
Serve immediately garnished by tomato flower,capsicum leaf and fresh pomegranate seeds.
