#dussehra sunehre –kheerni #dussehra ,Puja, festival or wedding, no occasion is ever complete without Phirni and kheer. Interestingly, Phirni is north Indian dessert of rice paste cooked in sweetened milk is popular all over the country, known by different names and prepared with slight modifications.We make kheer with different ingredients like pumpkin,custardapple.Today I made fusion of phirni and kheer to celebrate#dussehra and renamed it as sunehre –kheerni

Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Wash, peel and remove the seeds from the
Red pumpkin(kadoo)reserve only the flesh. Grate it and keep aside Pour the MILK into a saucepan and bring to a boil. Also add the grated pumpkin.
* Step 2
Add rice flour and simmer on low heat, let it cook uncovered for 10 mins. Keep stiring every minute or half to avoid sticking and not boil away.
* Step 3
Add KHOYA(mix it in 1/4 cup MILK)and add this to the simmering milk. Add ground cardamom seeds, sugar, and chopped nuts
* Step 4
Let it cook for 10 more minutes on simmer.
* Step 5
As the milk cooks it begins to get more concentrated and creamier. Once done, remove from heat and serve warm or chilled garnished with, saffron pista or peeled almonds.
* Step 6
Note-you can enjoy it even navratri fasts or at dussehra party.
