Urad Dal Murukku

Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Wash urad dal and pessure cook with 3/4 cup water for 5-6 whistles until well cooked and mushy. Let it cool down. Grind it with water as required to a smooth paste.
* Step 2
In a bowl take rice flour, jeera, sesame seeds, salt, hing and butter. Mix it all well by crumbling the flour.
* Step 3
Add in urad dal paste and mix.
* Step 4
Add water as required and form a smooth dough without cracks. Form logs to fill in the murukku press.
* Step 5
Heat enough oil in kadai on medium flame. Put 3 hole plate in the murukku press. Fill it with the dough and press it on a greased ladle and press the edges slightly to avoid separation. use the ladle to gently drop the murukku in hot oil without over crowding in oil.
* Step 6
Fry murukku by flipping in between until bubbles in the oil settles down. Drain onto tissue. Prepare murukku with rest of the dough. Once it is cooled down completely, store it in airtight container.
* Step 7
Urad Dal murukku is ready to be offered for God and relish them.
