This is a #french #custard -based dessert baked with fresh cherries.
It can be eaten either warm or chilled but taste best when eaten warm.
It can be baked and served in the baking pan itself ( just cut and serve individually).
A special treat for special people on special occasions! Hence a great dessert make on Rakhi or Raksha Bandhan!

Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Wash & Prepare the cherries. Take out the seeds with a skewer or easier is with the cherry pitter.
* Step 2
Whisk egg, salt, and sugar, add the milk and cream, and whisk. If using vanilla bean powder mix it with flour. Shift the flour and add to the liquid mixture and mix it well. Pour it in the prepared baking tray along with the cherries.
* Step 3
Bake for 1 hour with a hot water bath at 250 °F in a preheated oven. Let it cool for 15-20 minutes, dust it with powdered sugar, cut it into pieces and serve warm. It can be eaten Chill too but the texture firms up. The #leftovers You can reheat in burst seconds in the microwave till it's warm enough or reheat it in the oven at 350°F / 180°C for 10 -15 minutes.
