Bhuna Moong Dal

#mychildhoodrecipe #cookpadindia #moongdal #boxweek16 #mysterybox I love this Moong Dal preparation which is dry roasted first. My Grandma and aunt used to prepare this and I still love this to have it with rice. You can make it dry kind and have it with Roti and Parathas too. For dry kind do not make the Dal mushy. #post13

* Step 3

Then add enough hot water, boil and cook till the Dal is cooked nicely. As I love cilantro / dhania patta, I added that too, you may skip if you don't like or have it. The Dal may take up to an hour to cook well. Blend it with a traditional wooden blender / Dal Ghotni, check consistency and adjust accordingly, check salt too. Once done, add sugar, garam masala and ghee, mix well, cover and cook for another 5 minutes or so and your Dal is ready is ready to ge served.
