Vegetable brown bread upma

Bread upma is a very delicious snacking option.. moreover making it with brown bread makes it healthier. So do try this bread upma having lots of vegetables in it... #cookpad #bread #vegetables #upma

cumin seeds

1 tsp

chana dal

As needed

Grated ginger

5 slices

brown bread

110 ml

milk

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Place a kadhai,add oil and heat it. Crackle mustard seeds, cumin seeds. Add chana dal, gota urad dal, fresh curry leaves.

* Step 2

Add chopped onion,grated ginger and saute. Add cut vegetables. Put salt, turmeric powder and mix well. Cover and cook till veggies soften.

* Step 3

As vegetables are cooked add fresh coriander leaves. Mix. Next for a nice flavour add sambar masala.mix all well. Add black pepper powder. Mix again.

* Step 4

Next add into this roughly chopped brown bread. Mix. Take milk and go on adding gradually. Mash and go on mixing till you get an upma consistency and look.

It's ready... Cover for sometime. Switch the flame off.

Serve with pickle and enjoy...
