Haddock baked in spicy yoghurt sauce

Haddock baked in spicy yoghurt sauce

I wanted to make an Indian dish that was simple to put together. This recipe is really all about adding ingredients together and then baking, and reducing the sauce if required. I served with homemade naan breads and a side dish of spinach and peas.

Ingredient

Food ration :

Cooking time :

30 mins
1 tablespoon

lemon juice

1 teaspoon

sugar

1/2 teaspoon

salt

2 teaspoons

ground cumin seeds

1 teaspoon

garam masala

1/2 teaspoon

cayenne pepper

1 teaspoon

grated ginger

2 tablespoon

olive oil

1/4 teaspoon

ground black pepper

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Slice onions and place in the bottom of an ovenproof dish. Lay the fish fillets in top of the onions.

Mix all the sauce ingredients together- add the oil last.

Pour over the fish and onions - make sure the fish is coated. Cover with baking foil and cook for 25 minutes.

* Step 4

Remove from oven and take off the foil. If the sauce is to liquid, carefully drain into a saucepan and then re-cover the fish to keep warm.

* Step 5

Boil the sauce rapidly for a few minutes and then remove from the heat and add the butter. Use a fork to stirthr butter into the sauce.

Pour over the fish and serve
