Rice pudding (Kheer)

#technique1 This a regular and popular dish liked by many, and we make to offer deities in pooja and festival occasion.

Ingredient

Food ration :

5 to 6 servings

Cooking time :

20 mins
1 cup

rice

1/4 cup

honey

1 and 1/2 cup

lukewarm milk

2 cups

warm water

2 tbsp

pistachios

1 pinch

salt

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Soak the rice in 2 cups of water for 20 mins after cleaning and washing.

* Step 2

Grate the milk solid. Soak saffron in half cup lukewarm milk.

Pressure cook the rice for 2 whistles. Let it cool

* Step 4

Mix lukewarm milk with mashed rice and cook in low - medium flame. Now add mawa,jaggery, salt and cook till mawa is totally dissolved in the kheer.

* Step 5

Cook for 1 minute and bring down. Transfer to a bowl. Mix honey, saffron milk and garnish with chopped pistachios. Serve after keeping for 1 hour in the refrigerator. Thanks.
