Chicken tikka roll paratha
Roll Paratha is Pakistani equivalent of a wrap or even shawarma. A slightly crisp fried paratha is stuffed with spicy chicken, slightly oozy chutneys, and whatever condiments you prefer. It is a street food relished with delight by almost everyone.
Roll paratha can have chicken filling, beef filling, kebabs and even paneer for a vegetarian version. Traditionally, roll paratha is made of filling of choice and topped with your favorite vegetables and chutneys, which is then wrapped in the flakey paratha like a roll.
Basically, there are four parts to creating a good roll paratha: Kabab or Protein –choose meat, vegetable or proteins that make a filling base for your paratha roll. Toppings– almost any crunchy or juicy vegetables work so well for paratha rolls. Sauces, Chutneys, Raita –the sauces add the most flavor. Use your favorites to make the best paratha roll! The Wrap– you can use roti, paratha, tortilla, naan, pita bread or any type of flatbread for a delicious “paratha roll” recipe!
What I like about these roll parathas is that they are simple to make, you can prepare them ahead of time, and are a perfect way to use up any leftovers. Sometimes when running late for lunch I make a quick omelette roll paratha with frozen parathas.
These roll parathas make for some simple lunch ideas, to take for picnics, and even for children’s lunch box.
