This is one of my family's favourite Subji. Cumin / Jeera/ Jeere is our go to spice for every curry, paratha, snacks, savoury dishes, and lots of other preparations.
Cumin is a digestive spice, it aids in weight management, is iron rich, good for hair and eyes and blood. It should be daily included in our diet.

Cooking instructions
* Step 1
First, peel the boiled and cooled potatoes. Slice them in. Cubes or chunks.
* Step 2
Now, add the masala powders to the potatoes and keep covered till use for 10 minutes.
* Step 3
Now, heat a kadhai or pan. Add oil or ghee and let it heat up. Then add jeera and mustard seeds and let them splutter. Add red dry chill and fry well.
* Step 4
Then add hing, ginger, garlic, chillies and stir well and cook for 5 minutes. Then add chopped onion and cook till transparent. When masala turns aromatic, add the potatoes and mix well Now add turmeric powder and all other remaining spices.
* Step 5
Stir well and coat the potatoes with spices. Then add green peas, stir and mix well for 2 minutes.Add a spoonful of water, cover and cook for 5 to 7 minutes till aromatic.
* Step 6
Then check for salt and spices and mix in lemon juice. Then remove from flame, garnish with dhania patta and serve steaming hot garnished with rice or paratha or fulkas. Yummy and delicious Jeera Aloo is ready to Enjoy!
