Ginger & Spice Waffles

This recipe needs a waffle maker so if you don’t have one then I guess you could try sizzling it in a pan but the final product might not be AS good.

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

First use the water to melt the yeast in a little bowl and LEAVE IT THERE!

* Step 2

Then in a bowl, add ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING, first the dry ingredients, then the wet, and then last of all the ‘yeast in water’. Knead the dough until soft and not too sticky.

* Step 3

Now knead the butter into the dough mixture. If it is too sticky then you can add a little more plain flour.

* Step 4

Cover the dough and let it rise for about 30 or more minutes because dead dough is disgusting.

* Step 5

While you are waiting for the dough, NOW would be a brilliant time to get started on the filling.

* Step 6

The filling is super easy — just mix the walnuts with the maple syrup. If the filling is a little runny you can add some sugar.

* Step 7

Now you can start cooking!

* Step 8

Grab your waffle maker and roll a bit of dough (as big as you like) and if you ARE using the filling, push down the inside and add a little bit of it.

* Step 9

Make sure to roll the dough (with or without filling) until smooth and soft.

* Step 10

Preheat your waffle maker for about 1 minute then according to the size of your dough (I usually make mine about 2 tbsp big) set it for however many minutes you need.

* Step 11

Do that will ALL your dough. Then if you have any more filling left over it will taste delicious drizzled over your waffles. Oh right if your filling leaks out that is fine completely fine just eat it. Enjoy and bye!
