Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Wash and soak chanadal in water for 30 minutes.In a pressure cooker take milk add chana dal and pressure cook for 5 minutes on medium flame.Take out from pressure cooker and mash till smooth.
* Step 2
Heat ghee in a heavy bottomed kadahi.Add cardemom and cloves,reduce flame.Add chana dal and stir well.Cook on low flame and frequently stir to avoid burning of chanadal.
* Step 3
Cook for 10 minutes or till ghee separates.Add khoya,and pinenut paste.Stir.cook for 2-3 minutes.
* Step 4
Add sugar,mix well.Further cook on medium -low flame for 10 minutes or till consistency of halwa is thick and ghee separates.Add chopped dry fruits.
* Step 5
Remove from flame and add kewra water.mix.Garnish with pinenuts and serve.
