Vegetable tehri
"TEHRI"..
A medley of veggies, rice and spices.. A dish from awadhi cuisine.. Often confused with pulao, but is different from pulao in the way of cooking and flavours 😊

Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Heat oil in a pan. Crackle jeera in it.
Add chopped onions and saute till pink.
Add ginger, garlic, green chillies and coriander paste to it.
Cook for a while and add all the veggies now.
* Step 2
Cook for 2-3 minutes and add turmeric, chilli powder and salt.
Add rice and give a good mix.
Add 3 cups water (double the amount of rice)
Cover it with a lid and let it cook.
(it took me 10 minutes)
* Step 3
When it gets cooked, add ghee and kewra water.. Cover it with lid again and let it rest.
Serve hot with sprinkle of garam masala... Enjoy with raiyta 😊
