Honey Chilli Potato

Honey chilli potatoes are Indo Chinese style fried potato fingers which are glazed with sweet and spicy sauce. #Nc

Ingredient

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Peel the potatoes and cut them lengthwise in French fries shape. Wash them.

* Step 2

In a pan boil the potatoes with salt and water for 3-4 minutes. Take them out from the pan.

* Step 3

Add 1/4 cup of dry maida and cornflour to the potatoes. Toss well.

* Step 4

In a bowl mix maida and cornflour with water. Make a thick batter.

* Step 5

Heat oil in a karahi. Dip potatoes in batter. Deep fry the potatoes on medium flame. Take them out, allow them to cool down. Then fry potatoes in oil for second time to make extra krispy.

* Step 6

Dry roast sesame seeds keep them aside.

* Step 7

In the same hot oil add chopped garlic and green chillies. After 1-2 minutes add roasted sesame seeds. Then add sliced onion cook for two minutes.

* Step 8

Add salt, sugar, soya sauce. Cook it on high flame. Add red chilli sauce and ketchup.

* Step 9

Add 1/2 cup water and boil it. In a bowl mix one tbsp of cornflour and water. Then add to the sauce. Boil and allow it to thicken.

* Step 10

Add honey in it. After few second add fried potatoes. Saute for one minute. Garnish with green chillies and sesame seeds.
