Sambar with Drumsticks
Sambar acquires its taste from the vegetables used. Most times vegetable like drumsticks are used to give a distinct taste to the sambar. This drumstick sambar is made the same way as regular vegetable sambar which I had shared earlier. But the ingredients used here are different.

35-40 minutes
Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Wash dal properly and soak for 10 minutes. Boil dal with lauki, turmeric powder and salt.
* Step 2
Take one heavy bottom pan put oil and add all the spices, red chilli and curry leaves. Fry for 2-3 minutes then add drumsticks and carrots and fryfor another 4-5 minutes with dash of water.
* Step 3
Then add dal, lauki, jaggery and water. Cover it for 6-7 minutes. Enjoy this with idli and coconut chutney.
