Curd Rice

Curd rice is made by simply mixing soft-cooked mushy rice with curd and salt. Then it is tempered with the basic tempering or tadka spices & herbs to make it mildly flavourful. #icf #curdrice #Cookpadindia #shilpitandon

Ingredient

5-10 minutes
1 cup

curd

2 tablespoons

milk (cold)

1 tsp

desi ghee

As per taste

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Take one big bowl. Mash the rice with your washed hands then add curd, milk, and salt.

* Step 2

Take one tadka pan. Heat oil and add mustard seeds and curry leaves. Pour this mixture into curd rice and cover it for 2-3 minutes and enjoy it with mixed pickle or rasam. I personally enjoy it with hot rasam.

* Step 3

Tips 1. Always use freshly cooked & cooled rice. Avoid using stale or leftover rice either from the fridge or cooked on the previous day. It is very unhealthy to eat such rice as it contains bacteria.
