Jaggery Sesame Paratha | Gur Till ka Paratha

This paratha is all things goey and delicious. It doubles as a perfect dessert, and kids and adults both adore this paratha. It is reasonably easy to make. With jaggery, sesame seeds and dry gourd (sonath), it tastes delightful and is super healthy. You must try this til aur gur ka paratha this winter. Jaggery is quite rich in its content of folate and iron and therefore it helps in the prevention of anemia. It also offers instant energy preventing weakness and fatigue of the human body. Jaggery is packed with minerals and antioxidants like selenium and zinc and these help in preventing free-radical damage. These minerals and antioxidants also help in boosting the body’s resistance to different infections. 1 pinch

1 tbsp

ghee

60 grams

grated jaggery

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Make dough by adding 1 tbsp ghee, 1 pinch salt and water to whole wheat flour. Set aside for 15 minutes.

* Step 2

Now make small balls with the dough.

* Step 3

To make the filling, add jaggery, sesame seeds and sonath powder,coconut powder and mix together. Make small balls of the filling and keep aside.

* Step 4

Now roll out dough balls. Keep the filling ball inside the rolled out dough. Pull up the sides to form a big ball.

* Step 5

Now roll out a paratha with a rolling pin. If a bit of filling peeks out.

* Step 6

Now fry the paratha on a tawa with a little ghee on each side till the paratha is well cooked. Some jaggery oozing out of the paratha is fine.

* Step 7

Serve hot with more ghee or fresh malai. Your delicious til aur gur ka paratha is ready to eat.
