Everyone's Favorite Chicken Teriyaki Honey Oyster Sauce
I always make dishes using chicken breast, but I decided to use thighs today.
I love the combination of honey and oyster sauce, so I use it in many dishes.
Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Cut the excess fat off of the chicken thigh, and make incisions into the thicker parts of the meat. Season lightly with salt and black pepper on both sides.
* Step 2
Mix sake, soy sauce, honey, oyster sauce and garlic together.
* Step 3
Oil and heat the pan well, then lower the heat to a medium heat and grill the chicken skin-side down (about 2 1/2~3 minutes). When the skin has turned golden, flip the chicken.
* Step 4
Turn the heat off after two minutes, and pat off excess oil with a paper towel.
* Step 5
Pour in the sauce mix, put the lid on and steam-grill over a low heat for 5~6 minutes. (Baste the chicken once in a while by spooning on some of the sauce)
* Step 6
Take the lid off, turn the heat up to medium and simmer down the sauce. Sprinkle on some black pepper.
* Step 7
Take the chicken out onto a cutting board. Slice the chicken into easy-to-eat sizes and plate them. Pour on all of the sauce left on the pan, and it's ready to be served.
* Step 8
Garnish with mayonnaise and lettuce as you like.
