Kadha Prashad is wheat flour halwa considered a sacred food and it is served daily in Gurdwaras.
Baisakhi is Sikh New year and harvest festival also,so on this auspicious day it is cooked in many Sikh bones.
It is best eaten with out dry fruits.
Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Boil water and keep aside.Heat ghee in a Wok (kadahi). When it turns hot add wheat flour. Stir regularly on low to medium heat until it changes colour to light brown and nice aroma arises from it.
* Step 2
Lower the flame,add sugar then hot water,stirring continuously, carefully or the water will splash.
* Step 3
Keep on mixing stirring until the halwa start,s to leave the sides of the kadahi,no lumps are there and little ghee is seen oozing from the sides.
* Step 4
Kadha Prashad is ready to serve.It is best eaten as it is. No need to add any dry fruits.
