Makai Ke Atte Ki Mathri
(My Innovative Dish)
Mathris are North Indian spiced salty crackers laced with ajwain and peppercorns. The trick to get perfect not too hard and not too soft melt in the mouth crispy mathris lies in the ingredients that goes into preparation of the dough and how it's deep fried. Make it a circular or triangular shape as per ypur cooking skills , preference and enjoy with ypur simple assortment of sweet sour or hot chutneys.
Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Grind black pepper corns coarsely.
* Step 2
Mix well with the tip of your fingers.
* Step 3
Knead a soft dough with lukewarm water.
* Step 4
Keep it aside for 10-15mins.
* Step 6
Make small balls of the dough.
* Step 7
Press each ball between your palms to give round shape.
* Step 9
Drop 5-6 mathris ; at a time to fry in hot oil.
* Step 10
Fry on medium flame, till golden brown and crispy.
* Step 11
It takes 10-15mins to fry.
* Step 13
Store it in a air tight jar.
