Ingredient

250 gms

besan

1 tsp

oil

As needed

water

250 gms

fine sev

500 gms

sugar

1 tbsp

ghee

1 cup

milk

2-3 drops

rose essence

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

The batter for the sev should be of medium consistency.

* Step 2

Heat oil and fry sev.

* Step 3

Keep it aside.

* Step 4

In a kadai, boil milk.

* Step 5

Add sugar, mawa and sev.

* Step 6

Add elachi powder ; rose essence, yellow mithai colour and boil till the mixture becomes thick.

* Step 7

Go on stirring.

* Step 8

When it is done, add ghee.

* Step 9

Grease a steel thali with little ghee.

* Step 10

Pour the mithai in the thali.

* Step 11

Flatten it with the back of a steel katori.

* Step 12

Allow it to cool.

* Step 13

Garnish it with sliced pistas and badams.

* Step 14

Cut it into desired shapes.
