Langer dal with tandoori roti in kadai

#week2of5 #lunch Langer wali dal is very delicious recipe . It goes very good along with tandoori roti .

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

For dal -first take soaked black urad dal,drain and wash it. Now add washed chana dal in it. Now in a cooker add both dals with sufficient water,add salt and turmeric powder.Boil it until 3-4 whistles comes. It takes 10 - 15 minutes.keep this boiled dal aside.

Now for tempering - take a pan,add clarified butter. Then add cumin seeds,then add garlic and ginger. Saute it for 1 minute. Then add chopped onion and green chilli. Saute until onion becomes light brown. Then add turmeric powder, coriander powder,garam masala powder and red chilli powder. Mix well. Then add chopped tomatoes. Cook until to tomatoes becomes soft and mushy. Turn off the burner. Pour this on boiled dal and mix well.cook dal again for 5 Minutes. Langer wali dal is ready.

* Step 3

Now for tandoori roti - in a bowl take whole wheat flour add salt and carrom seeds. Mix well. Make soft dough by using water. Keep it aside for 10 minutes.

Then take dough and make small balls with it. Take a ball and make small roti with roller pin.

Now take a kadai, heat it on burner. Then put rolled roti on sides. Cook from one side and take out from kadai then for other side cook it again on flame. Tandoori roti is ready. Apply clarified butter on it.

Serve tandoori roti with langer wali dal.
