Ox (Beef) Kidney in Gravy

A very Budget - friendly dish. Can be eaten as here, or can be combined with Beef to make Steak and Kidney Pie filling!! # Budget, #Easy, #Student, #Familyfriendly.

500 Grams

Ox Kidney

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Cut the Kidney down the centre and trim away any white bits.

* Step 2

Cut into small pieces and put into a medium saucepan. Add stock cubes and just enough water to cover the bottom of the saucepan.

* Step 3

Heat to boiling slowly, then turn down and simmer for about 10-20 minutes until cooked. Add extra water if the gravy becomes too thick.

* Step 4

Serve with Potatoes and / or vegetables of choice. Can be used as Pie filling. Can also be frozen after cooling down, up to three months.
